The Manatee County Council of the blind, (MCCB), an affiliate of the Florida Council of the Blind, is a membership based support and advocacy organization. MCCB promotes total inclusion in community, state and national programs and services and strives for equality of opportunity and meaningful personal achievement for people who are blind and visually impaired.
Meetings
Organizational meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at Perkins Restaurant located at 623 14th Street West in Bradenton, FL 34207. Meetings are scheduled from 1:30 until 4:00.
Since its formal founding in September, 2010, MCCB has taken the lead in building a coalition with the Manasota Light House, the Division of Blind Services local Lions clubs and Southeastern Guide dogs to insure meaningful recognition of Florida's White Cane Law.
Meeting attendees participate in diverse and meaningful programming leading to significant discussion that sets organizational policy.
