The Tallahassee Council of the Blind, number 44, was adopted in to FCB in 1972. Since then it has grown from a small chapter to one of average membership. Diversity in membership helps us to explore many different issues and challenges along the way towards advancement of blind persons. Two of FCB's Immediate Past Presidents, Carl McCoy and Robert Miller, are from the Tallahassee area.
We meet the second Thursday of each month except for July, September and December. In July we don’t meet, in September we have our annual picnic and in December we have our annual Christmas party.
We meet at the Lighthouse of the Big Bend, 3071 Highland Oaks Terrace. It is located off Capital Circle North East. For directions please contact William Benjamin.
