Acknowledging that people with low vision have some different needs from those of the totally blind, the Florida Council of Citizens with Low Vision (FCCLV) was organized and was made an affiliate of the Florida Council of the Blind in 1983. We are one of the fastest growing affiliates in both FCB and the Council of Citizens with Low Vision International (CCLVI).
Our annual meeting coincides with the FCB Convention and offers as varied a program as the personalities of our members.
By joining FCCLV you also become a member of the Florida Council of the Blind, the Council of Citizens with Low Vision International and the American Council of the Blind.
Our newsletter, “The Viewpoint” is published quarterly and addresses the specific needs of people with low vision. Your membership also entitles you to “Vision Access”, the publication of CCLVI, the “White Cane Bulletin”, the publication from FCB and the “Braille Forum”, the publication from ACB. All of these publications are available in your choice of formats.
